The Challenge
Limited Target Specificity Constrains Oncology Drug Development
A central challenge in oncology drug discovery is identifying targets that are highly specific to tumor cells while minimizing expression in healthy tissues. Many current therapies rely on broadly expressed lineage markers, leading to off-tumor toxicity, narrow therapeutic windows, and limited patient benefit. The lack of cell-specific biological insight has constrained the development of truly differentiated therapeutics and contributed to crowded pipelines focused on the same targets.
